Functioning at RGUHS

The Registrar is the head of the University Board of Sports, RGUHS, Bangalore. The RGUHS sports committee is divided into 4 zones. These are Bangalore, Mysore, Belgaum and Gulbarga. Father Muller College of nursing follows the guidelines of Mysore zone Mysore Zone as we are under Mysore zone.

Mysore Zonal convener conducts a meeting for all physical Education Directors under the zonal category of Colleges which comes under Mysore Zonal Sports calendar of events prepared.

In the sports calendar the following events are conducted Football (M), Badminton (M& W), Basket ball (M), Table Tennis (M&W) ,Cricket (M), Chess(M), Kabaddi (M), Volley Ball (M&W), Throw ball& Tennikoit(W) .
Functioning at FMCON:
The Sports Advisor of the Father Muller College of Nursing is the nominated member by the Head of the Institution. The sports Advisor is a coordinator within the Institution following the guidelines of the RGUHS for the sports meet.
The sports committee of FMCON constitute of Principal FMCON, Sports advisor, Physical Educator and the all the elected members of the various batch, such as President of the sports is the IVth year BSc, Secretary (IIIrd year BSc) and all the nominated two members of each batch such as Basic BSc, PBBSc & MSc Nursing Students.
The main function Sports committee is to organize the inter-college sports events among the different colleges under Mysore zone. It also organizes staff sports events annually.

Objectives of sports :

to organize intercollegiate and inter batch competitions in specified games and sports under the hub of Rajiv Gandhi University in par with the RGUHS regulations.

to select, train and depute the teams collegiate, university and interuniversity tournaments.

to organize zonal/ inter zonal & inter university tournaments

to organize coaching and improve the standards of sports and games.
