The OBG Out-patient department of FMHMCH organised a Free Health Check up camp for women from 03/03/14 to 08/03/14 at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Deralakatte. It included Free Check up, free treatment, free Investigations and at concessional rate for hormonal essays, thyroid function test, Pap smear and ultrasound.
On 08/03/14, FMHMC organised a programme was organised for the staff, students and Patients. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Supriya Rai KSHMC. Dr Shivaprasad K, Principal, FMHMC introduced the Chief Guest and welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest Dr. Supriya Rai inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp along with the other dignitaries on the stage. She, in her speech, highlighted the awareness of women’s health in the society.
Rev. Fr. Vincent Saldhana Administrator presided over the function. In his address, he appreciated the role of women in the society.
The Chief Guest was presented with a Memento as a token of love from the FMHMC staff & students by the Administrator.
On this occasion an Essay & Extempore competitions were organized. The Judges for the essay competition which was held on 6.03.14 were Dr. Blany Lobo, Dr. Rajachandra and Dr. Vivek. The prizes were bagged by, Miss Nitya (1st prize) Intern and Miss Sharon, (2nd prize) Final BHMS. The 1st prize was sponsored by Dr. Shivaprasad K and the 2nd prize by Dr. Madona Joseph Professor, Dept of Forensic Medicine.
On the 8th of March, Extempore competition was held. Dr. Bhagya Asst. Professor, Dept of Bio-ethics, Yenopoya Medical College and Dr. Shivaprasad K, Principal, FMHMC judged the competition. Dr. Jenita Fernades introduced the judges. The 1st prize was bagged by Miss Ayesha Bismi and 2nd prize by Miss Driysha (both III BHMS). The 1st prize was sponsored by Dr. Vilma D’ Souza, Professor, Dept of OBG and 2nd prize by Dr. Anita Lobo, Professor, Dept of Repertory.
The MCs for the morning were Dr. Vidya Angraje and Dr. Prajnya Alva, and for the afternoon session were Dr. Jolly D’ Mello and Dr. Reshel Noronha.
Dr. Vilma D’ Souza, the Co-ordinator of the Women’s day programme proposed the vote of thanks. |
