The department of Community Medicine of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College observed World Cancer Day on 4th February 2014 in the college auditorium. Dr Prasanna Mithra, MBBS, MD, DNB, Associate Professor of Community medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore was the Chief Guest.
In his talk he emphasised the importance of observing world cancer day, epidemiological determinants of cancer, prevention of cancer etc. Dr Prasanna Kumar K, Professor and HOD of Community Medicine Department welcomed the gathering.
Third and Final year BHMS students of the college actively participated in this programme by preparing charts on Cancer and its prevention both in Kannada and English. Dr Prabhu Kiran, Vice Principal of the college graced the programme with his presence.
