The NSS unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte in collaboration with B A Industrial Training Institute, Thumbay, convened an AIDS Awareness Camp on 06.12.13.
The programme was held to create awareness about AIDS among the students of the Industrial Training Institute. The event began at 2.45 pm with a conventional inauguration by Mr Naveen Kumar Principal B A ITI. This was followed by a welcome speech of Mr Mithun, NSS officer B A ITI.
Dr Revan B L lecturer, Department of Repertory, FMHMC addressed the gathering by giving information about homoeopathic system of medicine and also briefed them on the college activities.
Dr Prajnya Alva, PG student, Department of Organon of Medicine gave an awareness talk about AIDS with the help of media. It was fruitful in clearing many misconceptions and doubts regarding the dreaded disease that was well appreciated.
This was followed by screening of a short film “PRARAMBHA”, which spread a message among the youth on dealing with patients suffering from AIDS.
The main attraction of the programme was a Mime presentation by the NSS volunteers belonging to I BHMS FMHMC. It gained a tremendous applause from the audience.

The programme was attended by Dr Blany Lobo, incharge of Father Muller Homoeopathic OPD, Thumbay.
