Father Muller Medical College Hosted the RGUHS  Mysore zone inter-collegiate basketball tournament for the year 2011. The tournament was held on Wednesday, 28^th September 2011 at the Father Muller Basketball Court. The Inauguration of the same was held at 8:30am. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr Naveen Shetty, Hon. Secretary, D. K. District Basketball Association.

 The Chief Guest in his speech said that universities in our state should provide better opportunities for sports like Basketball and generate enthusiasm amongst students to take up the sport. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Rev Fr. Richard Coelho, Administrator FMMCH, Dr J.P Alva, Dean FMMC, Dr Nagesh K R, Sports Advisor, FMMC.

           The tournament was conducted in knockout format. The final was between the hosts FMMC and KSHEMA. FMMC emerged as champions with the final score of 54 – 32. The award for best defender went to Nuthan of KSHEMA. The MVP of the tournament was Akhil Andrews of FMMC.
