History
Post graduate courses were initiated in 1992.Department initially had 2 professors, Prof. Venkatadri and Prof. Sulaiman.Prof. P. M.Rai was appointed as the HOD in the year 1993
Dept. was headed by Dr. Edward Nazareth for 2 years till June 2010.The department is now headed by Prof. Jacob Chacko since July 2010.
Subsequently the department has grown in stature to the present size with 9 staff members and 3 units.

To make the orthopaedic department into a specialized professional unit,achieving excellence in academic,clinical,research oriented and extra curricular activities.
