Department of Ophthalmology is equipped with latest state of the art equipment for Cataract and Glaucoma surgery. It has Zeiss operating ophthalmoscopes and Legacy and Infinity Phaco emulsification machines for suture less cataract surgery.
It has computerized field analyzer for early detection of Glaucoma and automated refractometer for quick assessment of spectacle power. It also has A and B scan facility for ultrasonography of eye.
It also has facilities for Cornea transplantation (Keratoplasty)”. It has Eye Bank facility for eye donation. It also has Diode lasers for treating Diabetic Retinopathy, a condition which makes Diabetic patients go blind. Treatment with laser prevents blindness in Diabetics.
