The department of Cardiology has progressed significantly in terms of patient care, academics and patient education since its inception in 2004. Providing good cardiac care at affordable cost to the patients is the top most priority of the department.
The Department of Cardiology was started in November 2004 by Dr. H. Prabhakar. The cath lab procedures were started from November 2004. Eminent cardiologists have served the department since then.
The Cardiology department is equipped with GE Cath Lab, 7 bedded ICCU, Sonos 3500 Echo Machine, Vivid 5 Echo Machine, TMT machine and Holter Monitoring machine. Coronary angiograms, coronary angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, mitral valvuloplasty, device closure for PDA, ASD procedures are done in the department.
