• The term physiology originated from Greek root physiologikos meaning discourse on natural knowledge. 
• The department of Physiology was established in the year 1999 as a part of Father muller Medical College.   
• Physiology department is well equipped with Clinical physiology laboratory, Human experiment laboratory, Research laboratory and Hematology laboratory.

Vision

• To provide comprehensive knowledge of the normal functions of the organ systems of the body to facilitate an under standing of the physiological basis of health and disease.
• To promote research activities in the department.

Mission

• Describe the normal functions of all organ systems, regulatory mechanisms and interactions of the various organs for well co-ordinated total body function.
• Acquire the skills to do the experiments for study of physiological functions.
