Workshop for “Mentors and Mentees”
Workshop for “Mentors and Mentees” was organised by the Department of Physiotherapy in association with the MEU of Father Muller Medical College on Saturday, 16thFebruary 2013. Dr. Shobha K.L, Professor of Microbiology and Mr.K.M.Anand, Senior Grade Lecturer in Microbiology from Melaka Manipal Medical College (Manipal Campus) were the Resource Persons for this workshop.
The first session for Mentors began at 9.00 am with the brief introduction by the Administrator, Rev. Fr Denis D’sa. The resource persons introduced the mentorship programme and shared their experience and success stories with the faculty members. It was an interactive session where all the faculty members including Dean participated actively.
The second session was planned for the students of first year (Physiotherapy, MBBS and allied health courses), with the introduction from the Administrator. The resource persons explained the benefits and the process of mentorship programme through interactive lectures. This session was very received by the students.
