POSTNATAL AND NEONATAL CARE

A group health education was conducted by III year GNM students of Father Muller School of Nursing on 25/05/2012 on the topic “POSTNATAL AND NEONATAL CARE” at ‘H’ ward of Father Muller Medical College Hospital. The programme was started at 11AM with invoking God's blessing and followed by welcoming the gathering by Ms Preshikala. Students performed a skit regarding mother and baby care and followed by explanation about mother and baby care, minor ailments after delivery and its management, diet, excercise, importance of immunization, breast feeding technique and family planning methods in Kannada. more than 75 people including patients and their bystanders were present for the health education. Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal, School of Nursing, Staff of the FMSON and ward incharges of FMMCH attendented the programme. Mrs Anitha guided the students. Sweets were distributed at the end of the programme.
