“KNOW to say NO” Swine flu awareness programme

Ignorance is the main cause of disease, with a view to reduce the rampant spread of swine flu, an awareness programme was organized by the final year community PG nursing students in order to enlighten the knowledge among the higher primary children and teachers of government school PARAPADE, MANGALORE-13. The group was enlightened with a blend of lecture cum innovative teaching strategies like, brain storming, questioning, discussion, demonstration, power point presentation and video.

The Head master of the school highlighted the significance of awareness programme with a special focus on its prevention and expressed his assurance on inculcating healthy habits in the children. The programme concluded by vote of thanks. A video prepared by organizers on swine flu awareness was donated by Mrs. Irene Alvares, HOD Community Health Nursing department, Father Muller College Of Nursing, Mangalore-2.
