TOURNAMENT – 2008, HASSAN

“WINNERS ARE BACK”

The FMCON team set off to SDM College, Hassan on November 11th for the RGUHS Mysore Zonal Throwball and Tennicoit tournament 2008.

The tournament was inaugurated by Ms. Aishwarya Manjunath on November 12th. She is the state and national level swimming champion at  her tender age.

Sixteen enthusiastic  teams were all set to prove themselves. We the  Mullerians  had to face the quarter finals against Indira College of Nursing, Mangalore. Our hard work had paid off as we entered into the semi-finals against Alva’s Nursing College, Moodabidri, in which we had a narrow way out and entered into the finals against SDM College, Ujjire.

Anxiety was killing and tension was drilling the 13 of us, when our eyes where on the score board waiting for every point to get higher than the opponents. And it was when the opponent dropped the 24th throw that we were declared as the “WINNERS”

This moment of was so over whelming joy that we could hardly find words to express our glorious victory and ultimately the practice that our Physical Director Mrs. Vanisha Rodrigues gave  till 7.00pm for the last one month has definitely paid off.
