The Department of Dermatology, organized a function on the occasion of Antileprosy day on 30.01.2010. The function was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Director, FMCI. Also present on the occasion were Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, Administrator FMMCH, Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, Administrator FMMC.
Mrs. Jacintha Boromeo, Corporator and Dr.Nancy Lobo, District Leprosy Officer were the guest of Honour.
Dr. Ramesh Bhat M, Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology welcomed the gathering. Dr. Nancy Lobo Spoke a few words on the occasion.
In appreciation of the services rendered over the year in the field of leprosy Dr.Nanda Kishore B, Professor Dept of Dermatology, who also gave a talk on leprosy, and the sisters of Charity were felicitated on the occasion. Dr. Sukumar D. Dept of Dermatology FMMC delivered the vote of thanks. A quiz was conducted for the undergraduates, BPT & nursing students of Father Muller Institutions. Dr. Ramesh Bhat was the Quiz Master. Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa distributed prizes to the winners. The students of college of Nursing presented a skit on the awareness of leprosy
Camp at Kotekar
In view of the Antileprosy Day celebrated on 30th January, a leprosy camp was organized at St. Joseph’s Joyland School, Kolya, Kotekar, Ullal on 28.01.2010, by the Dept. of Dermatology, Father Muller Medical College. The function was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Director, FMCI .
The Chief guests on the occasion were Mr. Jagannath, District Health Officer and Dr. Nancy Lobo, District Leprosy Officer, Mrs. Veena Bhat, Headmistress, Welcomed the gathering. Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology, FMMC delivered a talk on leprosy and Sr.Aileen Mathias delivered the vote of thanks. Also present on the occasion were the staff and residents of Dept of Dermatology, FMMC and Mr. Rohitaksha, Social worker.
