Dr. Ramesh Bhat M., Professor and HOD, Department of Dermatology has been nominated to the assembly of delegates of International League of Dermatology Societies (ILDS). He will be representing India in ILDS for the next four years.
The National Conference of IADVL - DERMACON 2010 held at Lucknow from 7th to 10th January 2010. Dr. Ramesh Bhat M, Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology, took over as the National Honorary Secretary of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists during the conference.
Dr. Ramesh Bhat M, Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology, gave a guest lecture on “Futuristic Dermatology” during West Zone Conference at Ahamedabad on 6th December 2009. He conducted IADVL GSK National quiz programme for PGs (IGNQPP) at Ahmedabad for the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarath, Rajasthan and Madhyapradesh. Dr. Ramesh Bhat M, Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology, was a panelist during Dermatosis of Adolescence at Indian Society of Paediatric Dermatology (ISPD) National Conference held at Taj Coramendal Chennai on 7th and 8th November 2009. He also chaired a session on award papers. Dr. Savitha Lasrado II year Post Graduate student in ENT attended the 8th international ENT Conference at Cario, Egypt from 21st to 23rd October 2009. She presented a Poster on the “effect of normal saline and hypertonic saline in sinusitis”.
Dr. Ramesh Bhat M , Prof & HOD, Dept of Dermatology, received Professor Shivakumar Memorial Oration Award and delivered a lecture on “Isotretinoin cautions and precautions” at Erode during 73rd Annual conference of IADVL – Karnataka Tamilnadu Branch CUTICON KT 2009. He was also selected as Vice President of IADVL – Karnataka Branch Following post graduates attended and presented a case report during 73rd Annual conference of IADVL – Karnataka Tamilnadu Branch CUTICON KT 2009 Dr. Roshan M. was chief guest at the inaugural function for 'Blood Donation and Free Blood Group Check Camp' a function organized by the Akhila Bharatha Billava Sangha and the NSS on 24.09.2009 at Shri Narayana Guru College, Kudroli. Dr. Arunachalam, Professor, Department of Medicine attended the CME in Rheumatology conducted by the Department of Medicine, KMC, Mangalore on 20.09.2009. He gave two lectures - 'Hyperuricemia - clearing the doubts.' and 'Pregnancy and Rheumatic disease.'
Dr. Roshan M., Additional Professor, Department of Medicine, attended a phone in programme about H1N1 influenza at Vijaya Karnataka press on 13.08.09.His expert opinions and views regarding H1N1 were published in the Vijayakarnataka newspaper on 14.08.09. and his Independence Day message was broadcast on Radio Mirchi on 15.08.09. He also gave a talk about acidity which was broadcast on FM radio on 23.08.09 Dr. Roshan attended Cardinext 2009, a cardiology CME in Ooty on the 15th and 16th August., and a Pulmonology CME on 6.9.2009 at KMC Mangalore. Dr Ramesh Bhat M., Professor, Department of Dermatology, has received Dr L.N. Sinha Award by the National Executive of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists during the DERMACON – 2009 at Bangalore. This is a lifetime achievement award given to him for his overall contribution in the medical field. Dr. Prabhakar Chief Interventional Cardiologist attended the European PCR conference in Barcelona May 2007. Dr. Krishna Murthy, Dr. Safeekh A.T, Ms. Ancy Ipe, Mrs. Malavika Attended the Investigators meet of the Drug Trial H 9P – MC – LNBD held at Mumbai on 2nd June 2007.
Dr.Denzil Pinto chaired a session on “Proteonomics” during the conference.KANCIPS 2007 Belgaum.
Dr.Sandeep Alex received Kateel Appu Pai Prize for obtaining highest marks in MD Psychiatry examination.
