Inauguration of the medical education unit for the year 2009 - 2010

The medical education unit for the year 2009 - 2010 began its tenure on the 11th of September   2009.

The function began with a prayer song by the MBBS students. The convener of the medical education unit , Dr. Smitha Bhat, welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the symbolic lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Father Patrick Rodrigues, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Father Stany Tauro, Administrator Father Muller Hospital and Father Denis  D'sa, administrator, Father Muller Medical College and College of Nursing addressed the gathering. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Prashanth Hegde, secretary, medical education unit.

The inauguration was followed by an academic program for PGs and nurses. Dr Anup Shetty, microbiologist, Dr Jayaprakash C.S., pathologist and Dr Avinash, biochemist spoke on 'Laboratory Specimen Collection and BACTEC.' The talks were interesting and the feedback was positive.
