There are two units having bed strength of 60 beds. OPD is spread
over a large area with separate rooms for examination of children,
immunization, child guidance clinic and OPD teaching.
Ward layout consists of examination room, general wards, isolation
rooms, procedure room, Pediatric intensive care unit, side laboratory,
store, ward pantry, duty rooms for the doctors and nurses, nursing
station, clinical demonstration room, rooms for the unit teaching
staff and residents. There is separate departmental library
cum seminar hall and has 256 books. There is well-established
level III neonatal intensive care unit with 18 beds.
Professor Dr K. Varadaraj Shenoy heads the department
and is assisted by qualified dedicated band of staffs.
