Opthalmology unit having bed strength of 30. OPD is spread over
a large area with separate rooms for examination, minor O.T.,
Refraction room, Dark room and room for OPD teaching.
Ward layout consists of examination room, general wards, isolation
rooms, procedure room, side laboratory, store, ward pantry,
duty rooms for the doctors and nurses, nursing station, clinical
demonstration room, rooms for the unit teaching staff and residents.
There is separate departmental library cum seminar hall and
has 100 books. There is a separate operation theatre.
The Department is headed by Professor Dr (Col) Francis E.
A. Rodrigues and assisted by the following staff members
