There are two units having bed strength of 60 beds. OPD is spread
over a large area with separate chambers for examination of
patients, antenatal clinic, family welfare clinic and OPD teaching.
Ward layout consists of examination room, general wards, isolation
rooms, eclampsia room, procedure room, Acute care unit, side
laboratory, store, ward pantry, duty rooms for the doctors and
nurses, nursing station, clinical demonstration room, rooms
for the unit teaching staff and residents. There is separate
departmental library cum seminar hall and has 130 books
There are two operation theaters and 4 fully equipped labor
theatres of general ward patients, private ward patients, and
septic patients and for eclampsia patients.
The department is headed by Professor Dr Sujaya V Rao
and is assisted by qualified dedicated band of staffs.
