  Admission Notification

  Admission Procedure:
Candidates who have appeared for COMEDK UGET-2005 should seperately apply to the college on the prescribed application form available free of cost at the college office, Mangalore or through the website www.fathermuller.com along with all the documents notified in the application form.
A copy of the application form may be sent to the chairman, Committee for overseeing the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Association of Private Professional Colleges, 1st Floor, CET Cell building, Sampige Road, 18th cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore 560003.

  Last date for receipt of filled-in application forms 10-6-2005  
  Publication of the list in the website 15-6-2005  
  Discrepancies in the list to be informed on or before 18-6-2005  
  Publication of the final list in Website 19-6-2005  
     
  The date of counselling for admission will be notified in the website.

The seat sharing ratio will be based on the Supreme Court Judgement, which is awaited.

 
 

A. Eligibility:

Candidates seeking admission to M.B.B.S. Course should have:
1. passed in 12th standard / Equipment Examination
2. secured atleast 50% marks in aggregate in PCBE subjects
3. Should have completed 17 years of age on 31-12-2005.

B. Admission Procedure:
1. Seat Matrix: Father Muller Medical College, being a Christian Minority Institution proposed to admit 50% of the total intake under the following categories.

a. Minority
b. NRI / Foreign national
c. General

This arrangement is subject to the decision of the Supreme Court which is awaited.


2. Entrance Test:

a. COMEDK entrance test will be conducted on 01-05-2005 for the year 2005-2006.

b. For more details regarding the entrance test, students may log on to the COMEDK Website (www.comedk.org)

3. Applications to Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore:

Candidates who have written the COMEDK Entrance Test and who wish to study MBBS at Father Muller Medical College are required to make a separate application to the College in the prescribed format which is available in the College Office, Mangalore or can be downloaded from the website (www.fathermuller.com)

The application form duly filled in should be submitted to the College Office along with the following:
a. Attested photocopy of the 10+2 marks card.
b. Attested photocopy of the 10th standard marks card
c. Photocopy of the proof of COMEDK rank
d. Photocopy of the proof of caste / religion
e. A demand draft for Rs. 500/- towards Registration fee in favour of "Father Muller Medical College" payable at Mangalore.

C. Fee Structure:

Tuition fees (excluding University fees) fixed by the Government of Karnataka for the academic year 2004-05:

1. For Minority / General category - Rs. 3.75 lacs per annum.

2. For NRI's / Foreign Nationals - USD 50,000 for the entire course.

3. The college awaits the decision of the Supreme Court of India with regard to fee structure.

D. Documents to be produced at the time of Admission:

Originals and 3 sets of attested copies:

1. 10th std. / S.S.L.C. marks card
2. 10+2 / PUC marks card
3. Proof of date of birth.
4. Caste certificate issued by the Tahasildar.

Originals and 1 set of attested copy:

5. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.
6. Conduct certificate issued by the Institution last attested.
7. Physical fitness and blood group certificate from the Registered Practitioner.
8. Photographs : Passport size : 5 Nos. Stamp size: 3 Nos.

FOR NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS:

In addition to the aforesaid documents, the following documents are also to be produced:

1.Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka,
Bangalore - Original + 3 sets of attested copies.

2. Migration Certificate - Original + 3 sets of attested copies.

FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS:

1. No Objection Certificate issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

2. Valid Passport and student Visa.

3. AIDS free certificate.

4. Residential Permit from Foreigner's Registration Office.
