INAUGURATION OF 23rd BATCH OF INTERN’S – 2012-13 ON 06.03.2012
The inauguration of the 23rd batch of Internship programme for the year 2012-2013 was held on 6th March 2012 at 9.30 am. at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte. The entire batch of new interns were present.
The programme commenced with a prayer song by Sr. Prema & group. The welcome address was given by Dr Jacintha Monteiro, class co-ordinator of the new batch of interns. This was followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais along with two representatives from the interns. Dr Srinath Rao, Principal, FMHMC, in his welcome speech, congratulated the new batch of interns for securing 100% results. He said that the vision of the institution to heal & comfort the suffering humanity & to be recognized as a global leader, must be borne in mind. The interns must imbibe the spirit of Father Muller and learn the art & skills to become a competent doctor.





Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’souza, Administrator, Fr Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, also appreciated the sincere efforts of the new batch and said that one must develop a positive attitude. This will not only help us to grow & become better individuals, but will also help us to give our best to the society.
The Director of FMCI, Rev. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, stressed on the qualities of a physician which must be imbibed by all. He said that a physician should be confident, empathetic, human, personal, respectful, forthright, straightforward and thorough in his knowledge.
Rev. Fr Vincent Saldanha, Asst. Administrator FMHMC&H, Dr Shivaprasad, Vice Principal, FMHMC, Dr Sunny Mathew, Medical Superintendent and Mr. Ramanna, the warden, were also present. Dr Girish Navada, Intern’s Co-ordinator, rendered the vote of thanks . He urged the interns to be responsible, disciplined and also to identify their lacunae in patient & knowledge care. Mr. Akhil was the M.C. for this inaugural programme. The programme concluded at 11.15am. |
